Natural Gal’s Favorite Hair Products

Hi Gals!! Can we all agree that there is nothing like finding a hair product that works with your hair and not against it? I must say that I am a bonafide product junkie that thrives on finding a product that gives me results the first time around not to mention a product that I can layer with others to get an awesome twist out, braid out or wash and go. Check out my some of my favorites:

~Eco Styler Gel – I absolutely love this gel because it is under $3 at my local beauty store (also can be picked up from Walmart, Walgreens, and Target) and it does not cause flaking when I style my hair wet or dry. You will also get great hold :)

~ R&B by Lush – I feel upon this product while shopping for soap but let me tell you it has done wonders for my hair. I usually use this when I take down my twists because it is light and adds great shine to my hair. This product is made by hand and is all natural (can’t ask for anything better).  Also if you collect five of the black product pots you receive a free Fresh mask. Check this store out :)

~Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner – If you are looking for a conditioner that you can apply and immediately detangle your hair then you must give this a try! I believe this conditioner is only $3 dollars and the results that you get from one application rivals some of the top brands such as Wen. This product is great to use for co-washing too.

~Carols Daughter Mimosa Honey -  I absolutely love this hair dressing :) I think it is great for moisturizing but  does not weigh my hair down like other dressings have done in the past. I actually purchased this off of HSN as Lisa Price, the founder, was promoting this product and I have been using it ever since. Also this is not a product that you have to be “heavy handed” with because a little goes a long way. I also layer this product with Eco Styler when doing my protective styling.

~Moroccan Oil – I love this oil! This oil is nice and light; I mainly use this after I have spritzed my hair with water and olive oil for second day hair. It gives me the shine I’m desiring without running down into my T-Zone.

I hope you enjoyed my favorite hir products! What are some of your favorites? Please comment below and let us know what products are in your top line-up. Until next time….

  1. OMG, I’m LOVIN the ECO Styler Gel…and for that price you can’t beat it. I’ve just entered the natural journey and learning a lot about my texture and what works. I have spent money on pricey products but I DO NOT have a problem returning them. Love the Eco styler and it’s only about 5 bucks from CVS. It’s a keeper!!!

    • Tiff that Eco Styler is the business for a lot of styles that might need a little hold! Thanks for the post and please remember to follow the blog as there will be an upcoming contest giveaway!

  2. I am very interested in trying the Moroccan Oil. Any suggestions as to where I can purchase it and an approximate cost? Also, how oftern do you spritz your hair with the water and olive oil mixture?

    • Hi Joy! The Moroccan Oil is wonderful for adding shine to your already styled hair as well as bringing life to second day hair. You can pick up Moroccan Oil at most higher-end salons and even some beauty supply stores. I however purchase mine off of Amazon; smaller bottles go for about $13 – $15 bottles while larger bottles range from $30 – $40 depending on the vendor. Before purchasing a large bottle make sure to get a sample size so that you can see if you like how this product works with your hair. As for my olive oil and wate mix, I use this every day while I’m styling my hair and before I go to sleep to keep my hair moisturized at all times. I hope this helps and be on the lookout for an upcoming contest where I will be giving away one of my favorite hair products.

  4. Hey Joy! I’m in love Love LOVE with R&B! I discovered it last summer and have recently bought my third jar of it… or is it my fourth jar? The scent is addictive!

Eco Styler is awsome too. Very economical and great hold. I alternate between that and my Aloe Vera Juice mix.
