Product Review| Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave-in Conditioner

Ohhhh I’ve been keeping a secret from you gals!

I’ve been using this FABULOUS product from Naturalista Cosmetics & now its time to share my results (& my friend’s too) with you :)

I’ve been hearing so many GREAT things about the Juicy Leave – in so I started to research the company Naturalista Cosmetics & found out that the company is based out of Washington, D.C. This was a super plus for me :) I then got in contact with the CEO/Founder Padrica Norfleet who was so kind to send me a FULL size container for review.

I decided to use the leave-in on myself as well as my friend who has a completely different hair texture than I; this way you can see how the product reacts on different textures or curl patterns.

Product:  Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave in Conditioner

Price:  $22.99

Purpose:  Repairs, conditions and leaves hair healthy vibrant, hydrated & strong. Juicy is a light, easily absorbed formula that is an excellent daily moisturizer for relaxed, tinted, dyed and chemically treated.

Application Method:  Apply a small amount to freshly washed & detangled hair before styling. Use sparingly and do not over use, a little goes a long way.

Here is the inside of the container; please note that I’ve been using the conditioner & that when it came to me it was full to the brim!

This product smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I had to keep my husband away from it while I twisted my hair; the smell is sweet yet not overwhelming.

There was also a set of application instructions, a note from Naturalista Cosmetics and a business card from owner Padrica Norfleet complete with contact information.

Really nice touch!

How I used the product:  I first steamed my hair with my Huetiful Steamer…okay will it’s not mine it’s my mom’s but we keep it all in the family ’round here! LOL :)

I then twisted my hair in the back and on both sides; I flat twisted the top because the baby had a date with his Pop Pop :) I only used a dime size amount of the product on each detangled section. I recommend you rubbing the product in your hands before applying it to your tresses this way it will glide right on.

I left the twists in from Sunday to Tuesday morning, I even worked out with them on Monday morning too. After my hair dried from the sweat the twists bounced right back! Another plus :)

Today I took my twists apart for a twist out & was amazed that my hair was still moisturized to the MAX. When I took my twists down I just used some oil by Imani-Joy Naturals to help avoid frizz which is inevitable with my hair especially since I’ve added color.

Here are the results:

Top Side View

I’m loving the waves & definition…

Back View

Here is the final look after I took my twists apart a bit:

I pinned the sides up because it was HOT in the DMV today plus I don’t really like my sides down unless I stretch my hair.

A few weeks prior when I initially was working on this review I invited my friend, Shanyon, over to use the product on her hair as well. I wanted to see how the Juicy Leave in Conditioner would work in someone else’s hair with a different texture. Check it out:

Freshly Washed Hair

I then twisted her hair in the back & flat twisted the top….

She took her twists down after four days to render these results….

I’m so in love with this product! My hair felt extremely soft & moisturized; my twist out was really defined with deep waves! I would definitely purchase this product once I run out. My friend, Shanyon, told me that she has NEVER experienced a twist-out like this before!!!

  1. Yes it sounds like something I would LOVE to try. Does she have a website that I can request a sample? Thanks for the review BTW

  3. Good Mornng!

Do you think it would be beneficial for me to try this product even though my hair is not relaxed, tinted, dyed and chemically treated? Well,it may be a little chemically treated, but I will be cutting that off sooner than later :-) Thank you and Happy Wednesday!

    • HI Joy!

This product, in my opinion, is great for any hair type because it is a moisturizer. Because I know your hair type I think you would benefit very much so from this product. Check it out :)

    • The steamer was absolutely awesome & left my hair extremely hydrated! The cons would be that you have to find a table high enough for you to sit under because there is no adjusting the hood. The process can be very uncomfortable if you don’t have some books or small boxes near by to use. Outside of that one my experience was really good :)

  7. Loved the review…. I used it on my hair today and now I cant wait for it to dry and see the results….I used the leave in and a small amount of oil only hope my hair turns out half as pretty as yours..

  8. I started using the Juicy Leave-In almost 2 years ago and have never looked back. Nothing compares to it IMO, you only need a small amount so even though it cost a lil more, you get your money’s worth. I had to learn not to use so much, you really don’t need it and you can go a couple days too between use and it still holds up great… This is my “go-to” hair product!

  9. Awesome site you have here but I was curious if you knew of any user discussion forums that cover the
same topics discussed here? I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get opinions from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Cheers!
