Late Night Thoughts| Wax On! Wax Off!

I just had the best Brazilian waxing ever! I’ve been to three different places in DC for Brazilians and only one of them is a keeper for me.  That one is Vera’s Revival Oasis located in DuPont Circle. For those of you who don’t know what a Brazilian Bikini Wax is its hair  removal in the area that a bikini would cover and a little on your bum. Vera uses a blue hard wax that’s organic and made for ultra sensitive skin. I’ve gone to see Vera twice now and both experiences have been great. I was going to a very nice and super cheap place in Georgetown (let’s be honest, very rarely can nice and cheap be used to describe something), but the last 3 times I went, I was just getting the worst ingrown hairs and the wax was really messy and always too hot!

You can book and/or change your appointment online. Anything I can do online is wonderful for me! My life is ridiculous and most of it is spent going out and meeting the craziest people ever, but I’ll save that for another post… after all we’re still getting to know one another. The great thing about Vera, is that she is good at what she does and has a passion for what she does, so much of the time is spent on educating you about the process and maintenance. The Brazilian wax takes approximately twenty minutes. Another awesome thing is that her website gives after care information which is so important to avoid irritation and ingrown hairs. The prices of all of her services are listed as well so there should be no surprises. The grow-in process is really what won me over! We’re talking smoothness for weeks and when the hair grows in, it’s very minimal. It’s so hard to find a place where you can be comfortable in an uncomfortable (for some of us,) situation. No double-dipping, fast, easy, If it’s your first time or even if it’s your twentieth time and you just moved to the area, give Vera’s Revival Oasis a try!
