Embellished Vintage Blazers

On my most recent trip to the thrift store I got these two great blazers at $3.99 each.   I am a lover of DIY fashion projects and was inspired by the classic and very regal paisley print so I decided to add a few embellishments to jazz up these blazers. I cut these studded shoulder appliques off a New Years dress I wore a few years ago, and bought vintage style buttons from my local fabric store.  Adding new buttons, patches and zippers to clothes you already have is a great way to update your wardrobe.  Thrifting clothes for DIY projects is also  a smart way to test your crafty-fashion  skills without ruining expensive clothes or fabrics!
